OT Le Dévoluy

See you up there! Top 5 things to do at the summit

We’ve put together five ideas for activities to enjoy in the mountains. Starting from La Joue du Loup or Superdévoluy, take the ski lifts and enjoy a range of experiences to help you relax, have fun with the family, or simply marvel at the stunning scenery around you.

1.

High-altitude yoga

Looking for an activity that combines well-being and contemplation? High-altitude yoga is for you!
Every Wednesday throughout the summer at the summit of Pelourenq at 10.30am, and every Friday at 10.30am at the summit of Les Fontettes, join Marilyne for a high-altitude yoga session.

Please note: this activity requires online booking and is limited to 15 people.

2.

Festoure Horizon

Once a week, every Thursday morning, take the ski lifts up to the top of La Festoure at an altitude of 2,250 m. Enjoy the panoramic view at the summit and walk back down to the resorts along a downhill route. Follow the pink markings to the right as you get off the La Festoure chairlift; they will guide you to Superdévoluy or La Joue du Loup.

Please note:

  • this hike requires equipment suitable for mid-mountain conditions. Also make sure you bring enough snacks and water.
  • For summer 2026, due to work on the future Jas gondola lift, access to Festoure Horizon will only be possible from La Joue du Loup, via the Fontettes T-bar lift.

The highlight: the view! A 180° panorama of the Garnesier – Grand Ferrand – Obiou range. In the background, the Vercors, the Chartreuse, the Valbonais, the Ecrins, etc.

Note: Access to the Festoure ski lift is only available on Thursdays from 9.30 am to 12 noon (ascent only; no descent via the ski lift) and pets are not permitted. On this occasion, the Fontettes T-bar lift opens at 9.00 am.

In the event of bad weather or if fewer than 12 people have registered, the event may be postponed until the following day.

3.

La Dévoluge

From the snow front, sitting comfortably in the sledge, you’ll first be towed to the start. You’ll then set off on a 1.5km descent in the sledge, at full speed! La Dévoluge is open in both summer and winter.

4.

Giant hammock and cairn trail

At the top of the Fontettes chairlift, you’ll find a giant hammock – settle in, have a nap and make the most of this moment to fill your smartphone with souvenir photos! Just a few steps away, you’ll find the start of the cairn trail, which will lead you to a viewpoint offering an exceptional view of the surrounding mountains!

Bonus: an orientation table 100 metres behind the hammock to help you identify the Devolard peaks.

5.

Pétanque 2000

Do you play pétanque? But have you ever played at an altitude of 2,000 metres? At the top of the Jas chairlift, you’ll find two fully equipped courts, accessible with a pedestrian pass.

Bonus: Forgot to pack your triplette? You can find branded triplettes at various outlets. Don’t hesitate to ask the ski lift staff, who will lend you the necessary equipment upon presentation of ID.
