The Team Basket Association was created in 1984, the year of the Los Angeles Olympic Games in which the French team participated.
The players who made up this team (Jean Michel Sénégal, Richard Dacoury, Eric and Grégor Beugnot, Jacques Monclar, Stéphane Ostrowski…), together with the National Technical Director at the time, Pierre Dao, and former international Patrick Demars, decided to create training camps with the aim of getting together outside of competitions and enabling all participants to benefit from each other’s experience.

And so it was that the first basketball camp was created in 1984.
Every year since then, Le Dévoluy has welcomed over 1,200 children for 8 weeks of practice at altitude.

The largest camp

in France!

Thanks to the 11 outdoor basketball courts and the indoor courts at the Dévoluy sports center, TBA camps are the largest number of simultaneous participants in France.

Since its creation, over 30,000 trainees aged 7 to 18 have enjoyed the experience at an altitude of 1,500 meters. Some trainees have gone on to become international professional players and/or coaching professionals.

Such is the popularity of the program that by the end of March every year, the courses are fully booked.

TBA was the 1st summer basketball camp to be affiliated to the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), and each week features an official 3×3 OPEN STAR competition. The results of these tournaments are recorded both at federal level (FFBB) and at world level by FIBA World.
These basketball camps are the fruit of over 30 years’ experience and professionalism.
The largest basketball camp in France is located in Superdévoluy, with an indoor sports center (2 indoor courts) and 11 outdoor courts, for a total of 13 lined-up courts: unique in France.
These basketball camps are recognized far beyond our borders, with basketball coaches and Pro A players from the LIGUE NATIONALE DE BASKET and the NBA already taking part (NBA coach George Karl, NBA player Boris DIAW, etc.), as well as renowned European basketball players (Edwin JACKSON, Aymeric JEANNEAU). Trainees from all 4 corners of the globe have come or are coming to our camps (USA, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Dubai, Africa, Chile, India, Singapore…).
Supervision is provided by professional basketball players and experienced coaches with French Basketball Federation qualifications.
The camp takes place at an altitude of 1,500 meters, with top-quality sports facilities and accommodation. Various types of accommodation are also available: studios, apartments and hotels for parents wishing to follow their child/children to the camp and spend a vacation in the mountains.
Every week, mixed basketball courses are open to all levels, from age 6 upwards.
You can sign up for a basketball course on your own, in a group or as a family.
Prices are the most competitive in France. ANCV vouchers are accepted, as is payment in instalments.

Dribble and improve your English thanks to immersive courses.
For 6 years now, 24 hours a day, trainees have been invited to chat in English, take part in sneaker workshops in English, sleep in English and eat in English!
During the week, American coaches give several courses. In addition, there are English lessons, teaching sessions in English, etc.

Tarbes basketball team

From August 20 to 25, 2023, the Tarbes basketball team (National 1) was in Le Dévoluy for an oxygenation camp. Their new coach, Stéphane Dao, is no stranger to the area. He organizes summer TBA (Team Basket Association) training courses in Superdévoluy, and has already been here with other clubs.

Why Le Dévoluy? Because I’ve been here before, when I was coaching in Monaco and then in Toulouse. I know the place, we’re well received and the impact it has on the team is always positive.

New coach of the Tarbes team since June, for him “the aim of the oxygenation camp is team cohesion before the start of the season. The players need to get to know each other and spend time together. My sporting objectives are to get the Tarbes team back into the play-offs.
