The festival de l’image aims to promote a type of nature photography based on an intimate and ongoing relationship between the photographer and his or her environment. It favours photographers working independently, whose images are mainly the fruit of their own work, reflecting a special relationship with a mountain they know perfectly.

More broadly, this festival is a meeting place for encounters with the mountains and their environment.
