6th edition The Image Festival 17 to 20 July 2025

The festival de l’image aims to promote a type of nature photography based on an intimate and ongoing relationship between the photographer and his or her environment. It favours photographers working independently, whose images are mainly the fruit of their own work, reflecting a special relationship with a mountain they know perfectly.

More broadly, this festival is a meeting place for encounters with the mountains and their environment.

Thursday 17 July :
<13h :masterclass
- 3:30pm: photo rally special kid: meet Vivien for a photo discovery
  in the resort (Polaroids provided). Duration: approx. 1 hour. Free, registration required. For children aged 6 and over. RDV in front of the Office de
  Tourisme de Superdévoluy.
- 16h :randonnée descendant depuis le haut du télésiège du jas ” À la découverte des troupeaux de montagne ” – with René Sarrazin. Duration: 3 hours. 9.50/person (price of ascent). Meeting point at the Superdévoluy welcome centre.
Friday 18 July :
- 8:30am:naturalist walk and observation
  of birds of prey towards the Col de Rabou – with Baptiste Rochedy, environmental technician. Duration: 5 to 6h. 20€/pers.
- 9h :masterclass “introduction to the basics of photography” – with Anatole Miara. Duration: 3h. 65€/pers. Maison d’accueil de Superdévoluy.
- 10h :observation of birds of prey towards the Col de Rabou – with the association Envergure alpine and a Natura 2000 technician. Duration: free access until 2pm. RDV at the Col de Rabou.
- 10h :rallye photo spécial kid : retrouvé Étienne et Vivien pour une découverte de la photo dans la station (polaroïds fournis). Duration: approx. 1 hour. Free with registration. For children aged 6 and over. RDV in front of the Office de Tourisme de la Joue du Loup.
- 13h :masterclass “sensor cleaning” – with Anatole Miara. Duration: 45 min. €50/person. Equipment provided. Maison d’accueil de Superdévoluy.
- 14h :Atelier Ludo Nature “creating toys from natural elements” – with Echo des Sources. From 4 years. Free access until 6pm. Free admission. Maison d’accueil de Superdévoluy.
- 18h :masterclass “astrophoto” at the vallon d’âne hut – with Julie Freschi. Duration: 6 to 7 hours. 70€/pers. RDV at the Superdévoluy reception centre.
- 18:30 :Aperitif-conference on biodiversity and Natura 2000 initiatives – With Eric Hustache, Natura 2000 coordinator. Meet at 6.30pm at the Superdévoluy Tourist Office.
Saturday 19 July :
- 2pm :children’s workshops “Chaîne Aliment’erre'” – with L’Echo des Sources. From 4 years old. Free access until 6pm. Free admission. Maison d’accueil de Superdévoluy.
- 3pm :masterclass “post production around the milky way photo” – with Julie Freschi. Price: 45€/pers. RDV at the Superdévoluy Tourist Office.
- 4pm :Bivouac “wildlife observation” – with Baptiste Rochedy, environmental technician. Price: €75/person. Independent equipment required. RDV at the Saint-Etienne Tourist Office.
- 7pm:conference dedicated to images through artificial intelligence “When machines think in images” – with Sylvain Dorschner, expert in artificial intelligence. Meet up at the La Joue du Loup Tourist Office. Free admission.
Sunday 20 July :
- 7am: masterclass “animal tracking” – with René Sarrazin. Duration: 3 hours. 20€/pers. Meeting point at the Superdévoluy riding centre.
- 11am: screening “Faune sauvage du Dévoluy”. Come and discover the fruit of 3 years of filming in the Dévoluy region, and talk to Rénato, the man behind the project, about the fauna of the massif! Duration: approx. 1 hour. Free.
- 2pm: children’s workshop “Herbarium on recycled paper” – with l’Echo des sources. Ages 4 and up. Free admission until 6pm. Free admission. Maison d’accueil de Superdévoluy.
- 4pm: special photo rally for kids. Join Étienne and Vivien as they discover photography in the resort (Polaroids provided). Duration: approx. 1 hour. Free with registration. For children aged 6 and over. RDV in front of the Office de Tourisme de la Joue du Loup.
- 16:30: Closing ceremony of the festival. Announcement of the winner and prize-giving ceremony for the photo competition. Superdévoluy Visitor Centre.

The finalists in the competition have been selected. Now it’s up to the public to choose the 2025 winner, during the Festival in Superdévoluy.

The Dévoluy Tourist Office invites photographers to exhibit their work throughout the festival. The artists present will be delighted to share their work.
A crush on a work? You’ll be able to order a photo print directly on site.

Unfortunately, there will be no brand village at the 2025 event.
