The Grande Trace alpitrail 29 and 30 August 2026

Runners must wear :

• the race number: placed on the chest, stomach or leg (i.e. on the front of the runner) so that it is visible at all times and in its entirety during the race and so that it can be registered by volunteers at the checkpoints. It is not permitted to wear the number on the runner’s bag or back. You will be issued with a single number for the entire race.
• a via ferrata or climbing helmet
• A climbing or ski mountaineering harness complying with CE or UIAA standards,
• A lanyard with an energy-absorbing system for use in via ferrata, complying with UIAA128 standards or CE marking.
• a headlamp (Sunday stage only)

This equipment must be presented at the time of registration to be checked and sealed.

• A 1-litre supply of water,
• energy bars or gels
• a whistle
• a windbreaker
• a survival blanket
• a telephone.

This equipment is required for each runner, who runs the risk of being disqualified on race day if they do not present this equipment to the race officials at all times.
