L'Eterlou mountain bike raid and hike

July 5 and 6, 2025

The Rando VTT l’Éterlou is back for another weekend, with the addition of a raid format! In a spirit of conviviality, you’ll discover or rediscover the best spots in Dévoluy, from small single trails to specially prepared trails. Whether you’re with the family, friends or on your own, you’ll be able to choose from a range of routes, each with its own new section.

For the more motivated, the raid format gives you the choice of an 80km route over one or two days!

You can’t change a winning team: a healthy dose of good humour, carefully prepared trails, tasty refreshments and, above all, new features on the chosen routes!

Focus on the challenge

Eterlou - La Meije trophy

The l’Eterlou raid in Dévoluy on July 5 and 6, and the Ultra Raid de La Meije in La Grave on September 13 and 14, have joined forces to organize a challenge made up of the 2 events: the Trophée l’Eterlou – La Meije!

An extraordinary sporting challenge, 100% Hautes-Alpes, which will take participants through the sumptuous landscapes of the Dévoluy massif and La Meije country.

Well-established in the mountain bike raid calendar, the two events have much more than just mountain biking in common. Commitment, love of their region and conviviality unite the two organizing teams, who this year are creating a challenge open to all participants registered for both events. The trophy will be awarded in two formats:

Competitors taking part in the Raid 1 jour à L’Éterlou and the Raid Ultra 1 jour à la Meije.
Competitors who take part in the Raid 2 jours à L’Éterlou and the Raid Ultra 2 jours à la Meije.

Program

The raid

Warning: mountain biking requires good physical condition, a mountain bike and suitable equipment. ATVs are not permitted on the raid. For adults only.

Routes are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Distances and gradients may vary slightly.

Over 1 day

Friday July 4: plate collection from 5pm to 8pm, and compulsory briefing at 7.30pm at the Superdévoluy sports center.

Saturday July 5: 98km and 3900 D+, departure from Superdévoluy at 6am, arrival at Saint Disdier.

Over 2 days

Friday, July 4: plate collection from 5 to 8 p.m. and compulsory briefing at 7:30 p.m. at the Superdévoluy sports center.

Saturday, July 5: 53km and 2400 D+, departure at 6am from Superdévoluy, arrival at Saint Disdier.

Sunday July 6: 45km and 1600 D+, departure at 7am from Saint Disdier, arrival at Saint Disdier.

The hikes

Routes are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. Distances may vary slightly.

The night ride7 or 15km

On Saturday evening, the timeless night loop will start in Superdévoluy, with a barbecue along the way! Fun route suitable for everyone, on mountain bikes or ATVs. Helmets and headlamps compulsory.

The loop13km

A short but demanding loop starting from Saint Disdier. Rated blue for mountain bikes and green for ATVs.

Not even afraid27 or 33km

A 33km loop with 1000m D+ starting from Saint Disdier. The route ends at Saint Disdier at the 27th km, allowing you to stop earlier if you feel tired.

Sharpen your calves45km

45km loop starting from Saint Disdier. Identical route to day 2 of the raid (with a staggered start). Difficult route reserved for experts. With a VTTAE, make sure you have a bike suited to technical terrain and enough battery power.

The 2-day tour98km

Identical route to the “2-day raid” format, but not timed, and accessible to VTTAEs. Departure delayed from the raid.

53km and 2300D+, then 45km and 1600D+, this tour requires good physical condition and suitable equipment. Beware of VTTAE autonomy!
