By registering for the "À fond les têtes" ski touring race, you agree to the following rules:
À fond les têtes is a Vertical Race-style ski touring race organized by the Dévoluy Tourist Office, Dévoluy Ski Développement, and CAF Buëch Dévoluy. The aim of this event is to promote ski touring in Le Dévoluy and to provide entertainment.
Date: À fond les têtes will take place on January 14 in Superdévoluy.
Mass start from the Superdévoluy snow front (foot of Jas). Finish at the top of the Jas chairlift.
Distance: 2.5km. Elevation gain: 500 m.
Registration and participation conditions: online (coming soon) or on site (30 minutes before the start).
Price: €8. Includes refreshments served at the Tourist Office upon arrival.
Age of participants: 15 years or older (born in 2011 or earlier).
Medical certificate or license: medical certificate stating no contraindications to competitive ski mountaineering/ski touring, dated less than one year prior to the race, or a copy of a 2026 FFME or FFCAM competition license. Minors: minor athletes must have parental authorization.
Insurance: It is strongly recommended that non-licensed participants take out a 24-hour FFME discovery license to cover bodily injury, civil liability, and repatriation assistance.
Program:
From 5:30 p.m.: registration and bib collection at the Superdévoluy snow front; 6:30 p.m.: start; 8 p.m.: awards ceremony.
Required equipment:
1 pair of skis equipped with bindings that allow the heels to move during the ascent and lock during the descent; 1 pair of removable anti-slip skins covering at least 40% of the surface of the ski base in contact with the snow; 1 pair of ski boots; 1 pair of ski poles; 1 headlamp. Participants are responsible for wearing clothing suitable for winter sports and nighttime activities. Recommended items include gloves, hats, long sleeves, etc.
Helmets are mandatory.
Change of clothes: can be left before the start. These will be transported to the finish line by the organizers.

- Descent: participants must ski down from the finish line independently, following the same route as on the way up.
Rankings on ledevoluy.com and Helmets must be worn. Prizes: top 3 women, top 3 men and best costume.
Personal insurance covering bodily injury is recommended.
Image rights: competitors waive all personal image rights and authorize the organizer, its beneficiaries, and partners to use their image on any medium for an unlimited period.
Cancellation: the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event at the request of the administrative authorities or in the event of force majeure.
