A walkworth the diversions
Nestling between the resorts of Superdévoluy and La Joue du Loup, the Crête des Baume offers a 360° view of the whole massif. Halfway between the two resorts, the spot overlooks the Collet du Tat.
At the summit, the giants of Dévoluy offer a breathtaking spectacle. To the north, l’Obiou sets the scene, with an endless line of ridges to its left as far as Garnesier. To the south, the Pic de Bure, the massif’s emblem, is home to the most powerful observatory in the northern hemisphere: NOEMA. To the east, the barrier formed by the Lieraver and Farraud mountains seems impassable. In fact, only the Col du Noyer provides a link between Dévoluy and Champsaur on fine days.
Also take a look at the Saint Gicon mountain, a real springboard that hides behind it the Lac du Sautet and the Pellafol plain.
It’s a landscape reading with a 100% wow factor!
